The hardest part of this whole illegal-restaurant business seems to be getting people to come. Oh well.

Pre-Pride dessertfest, noon Saturday September 26th

This isn't going to be the usual sit-down, multi-course dessert menu. Everything will be self-serve; take what's calling to you, donate what you feel like. We'll be  heading over to 9th Street to watch the parade at 2, so come on time!


What we'll have:

Italian prune plum crisp with cardamom whipped cream

Sweet potato meringue pie

Pumpkin spice cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting

Iced coffee

Sweet tea

A couple menu changes for tonight

I added an extra course, since I was concerned about there being enough ice cream for everyone. So, first is strawberry sherbet/pavlova/raspberry sauce. And instead of the fig compote, I made Italian plum/vanilla bean conserve. (I haven't seen figs the last few times I've gone to the market.)

Now I've got to find my camera charger so I can take pictures tonight. I hope there are enough chairs for everyone.

Wilbur Bud hot fudge (provided I can procure Wilbur Buds before then)

I think I'd like to do a "flight" of ice creams, and people can pick toppings/sauces from the menu. I'll post a real menu sometime tomorrow. Suggestions welcome!
